It's interesting talk about food. The differences between countries and cultures are significant. Today I was talking with american friends about the fact that the Pizza Hut is adding new tastes and sauces in the pizzas. You know, in Brasil we have more or less 30 or 40 different types of the pizzas. It's so normal for us, despite so odd for them. For example, we are one of the few countries in the world that eat beans with rice. In other few countries meat from dogs are eaten, Japanese always have eaten raw fish, and so on. Of course that now, we found restaurants with these meals around the world, but it's interesting to analyze that the habits between people about food are absolutely affected by cultural characteristics, like language, colonization, weather, financial resources, values, beliefs, attitudes, and a lot of issues more. I always like to try different meals in other countries, even though, neither all the time, you can do good choices.

San Francisco
Some people have asked me about a city that I visited last year. This city is San Francisco in USA. San Francisco is a California's city. The first impression is amazing. Beautiful place, so crowded and with a marvelous landscape. Of course, San Francisco has a famous bridge (Golden Gate Bridge), that is an excitant spot to visit, but you still have other possibilities. Other famous places have done there, one of the more common destinations by tourists through USA. It's an interesting touristic city but that still work day and night with different type of the people. I recommend to visit good sites like: the piers on coast (Fisherman's Wharf), the town (City Hall), Crissy Field, Fort Point, Lombard Street, Cable Car System, Alcatraz, Golden Gate Park, Chinatown and Palace of Fine Arts. It isn't a place where I'd like to live, but indeed I'd like to return to visit that awesome place again. I'd like to visit Twin Peaks, Exploratorium and all the sites again.
I'm in Palace of the fine Arts and Golden Gate Bridge in the pictures. Have a nice week...

I love sports
I am a unconditional sports fan. Of course, like a brasilian, I love soccer and my team. But I love other sports too. American football for example. I have watched NFL since 2000 and I have jerseys and shirts of my teams. I am a NY Giants fan (NFL), a NY Rangers fan (NHL), a NY Knicks fan (NBA) and a NY Yankees fan (MLB). All teams from New York City. You know I also am a Palmeiras fan (soccer from Brasil). Palmeiras is my life since my birth. But, why am I writing about sports today? Because my team lost the State Championship this last weekend. Soccer is passion, like the sports are passion. We have whom won and whom lost. Everyone want to win, but it's impossible. And you know who is a good fan when the team lose and not when win. For example, NY Knicks doesn't win a championship since 1973, but I love this team. This year the Knicks was the worst team in the league, but I will be a NY Knicks fan forever. My soccer's team lost the championship, but the next weekend I will be there again, watching a new match at stadium. You are what you are. You love what you love. And I love the Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras in the good and bad time, with all my heart, and I will wring in the games always.
See you...! Go Palmeiras! Go Big Blue! Go Rangers! Go Knicks! Go Yankees!

Good collection of books
Recently, I read a collection of the good books written by Melissa De La Cruz from New York City, that I enjoyed a lot and I want to recommend to you. It's a series called Blue Bloods. There are seven books, more two extra, about a story of the conflicts between good vampires (blue bloods), bad vampires (silver bloods), demons, angels, and, of course the humans (red bloods). The sequence is marvelous, with good actions, romances and sometimes thriller. I read this books in English, and is a good challenge to you, if you are training your English. But for you that don't want to read in English, you can find the collection in portuguese. The story change a lot between the books and sometimes you can't stop reading.

Two great movies
I want to talk about two great movies that a watched recently. These films are that kind of the movie that has ability to motivate when you see. These films can change the mood. You will feel a good emotion if you watch. Overcoming is the right word to summarize this movies. Humans have great ability to overcame bad things, and we can learn with the other's experience. "Brian's song" is based in a true story about two men that played american football together and overcame serious situations together. In the begin they wasn't friends, but during the time the friendship and the confidentiality appear between this two guys. You will weep a lot if you watch this movie. The second is called "The music never stopped" and is about a family that needs to overcome bad situations, when the son loses the memory and needs the musics and the musics' emotions to live better. A moving form to overcome troubles and a life lesson. Absolutely, two great stories that I recomend to you.
See you soon and have a good life...

Would you rather live...?
A time ago, a american made me a question. Would you rather live in Brasil or abroad? I have been thinking about this question, and absolutely, is very tough the answer. Indeed I love my country, however, this country seems never go forward. Have done a time that I have been thinking about live abroad. It's a great possibility. Can be marvelous living in a better country. Indeed, we have a large amount of the good possibilities, but I always prefer to believe in Brasil. A time ago, we showed a growing, but these last months are discouraging, because I feel like we are walking back. On the one hand, I think in my family, at the great distance and I will miss some people. Despite, on the other hand, I bet that can be better for my daughter lives in a better place and has more opportunities. Unfortunately, I believe that our country won't improve anymore. And this kind of the decision is for the entire life. It's necessary think a lot. And you? What do you think about Brasil? Do you have hopeful about the growth? Would you want to live abroad? Share your opinion. Send me a message.

The truth about politics
Well, I think that almost all the brasilians and other people know about the situation of our country. We are with economics troubles and corruption problems too. These things aren't new to us, and show us what kind of the issues we are living in Brasil. Sad and mad are the facts that these things have been happening in Brasil a some time, but the people have been voting at the same politicians. Our country still has not learned to vote. And now, the people want to go to the streets to protest against the government. This is crazy. A few months ago, the brasilians could change the president but have chosen to stay with the same. I think that I don't need go out to protest now. My protest was a time ago (in october), when I didn't vote in our president. The responsibility is now of everyone that have elected the president again. I guess that is late to cry now. But you want the truth? Next election, the brasilians will vote wrong again. This nation doesn't learn. This is the truth...
